...in the kitchen.

Kinja'd!!!

Did the cooktop like I would with paint: wash off, correct with a blade, plastic bag after clay trick to make sure it’s smooth, polish and buff with clean towels.

Smooth glass.

I hate our stove. It’s not induction but is still a flat top. GE - never again.

Nice work but you made one mistake...

... it’s not a gas stove.

Unfortunately they don’t have gas lines in our building.

I use this:

https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/cerama-bryte-cooktop-cleaning-kit/6000146303848

Has a specific cleaner polish, a scraping blade and pads.

Trick is to always use all-purpose cleaner to wipe it down after use and don’t let things bake on to it, then once a quarter do the “detailing” process”. I do stirfrys on it daily and never had issues with keeping it clean.

...but the stove itself, I had 2 infinite switches replaced already. Frigidaire isn’t the best when it comes to build quality.

You sound like you’ve used ours!

Half of the burners seem to have 2 settings only (no matter what you have the dial set on): surface of the sun or off. The other two take roughly 11.2 days to heat up.

At least the oven is perfect. Heats to temp quick and the temps are accurate. The broiler is great, too.

Baking soda.

That’s the key to keeping these clean. Sprinkle baking soda on them, run a paper towel under hot water, and lay over top for 15-30min. Then rub. All of the crap that’s stuck will come right off.
